On the Morning of June 26th, 2013, the Education Ebooks Distribution Joint Stock Company (EDC) a member of Vietnam Education Publishing House worked with Tinhvan eBooks to release Classbook, the first digital textbook solution for Vienamese teachers and pupils.

Digital textbook is not an experimental theory. In some countries like USA, France, Korea, India, Singapore and Thailand… they plan to build and deploy the textbook in wide scale. This is a predicted trend in modern education.
In Vietnam, Vietnam Education Publishing House signed with Korean Partner to develop digital textbook in 2000. In 2012, EDC was founded to build and deploy digital textbook in Classbook to transfer the content in traditional book into new-gen books in 2005.
With 8 inch multi-touch screen, 4:3, Classbook gives the same experience like on traditional books. In Plane Switching (IPS) has wide corner (max 1780) with real colours and no bad impact on eyes. Battery of Classbook can be used from 8 – 10 hours, meeting the demand using on class.

Classbook has already had a package of textbooks from 1st grade to 12th grade, designated by Ministry of Education and Training. On using the device, user can be accessible to every reprinted books of the package. Besides that, Classbook has more than 20 applications to support many subjects for pupils of all ages.
Not only does classbook give the information in traditional books, but it also helps user edit and connect to multi-media tools for case studies. Pupils have more interactions to subjects.
Especially Classbook can help pupils evaluate their level by themselves. Testing mechanism and automatic timer give users test samples and then give them the answers. Importantly, parents can follow their children’s progress.
Coming with the installed information, Classbook can connect to e-library and application Classbook Store (http://classbook.vn/). The website provides a library including textbooks, reference books, supporting books, teacher’s books, soft skill teaching books and exams, experiemtal works… Everything is build by publishers, online education providers and supported by teachers.
In the classbook for teacher, classbook allows user get accessible to reference documents to support their works through removable card. Parent can control their children’s access to internet through installed software and they feel believable in using the devices.
In the testing time, classbook is introduced in nearly 400 schools in Hanoi, HCM City, Hai Phong and Da Nang. Many teachers and pupils are persuaded to use the product.
In the framework of event, Pro. Ngo Bao Chau said to reporters: “I hope Classbook will give parents and others solutions: Pupil can bring less books to schools”.
