On October 30th, “Innovation, modernization and textbook in sustainable development” is discussed in a conference, held by Ministry Education and Training and Vietnam Education Publishing House in Ha Noi.

The conference attracted a lot of attention from leading editing and publishing experts as well as domestic and foreign education managers. Professor Mike Horslet – Director of The Learning Teaching Education Research Centre, specialists from Ucraine, Sweden, Holand, UNESCO… and Mr. Pham Thuc Truong Luong – Director of The Education Ebooks Distribution Joint Stock Company (EDC) attended and reported about “the model of implementing digital textbook in Vietnam research”.

In the discussion, visitors paid attention to 4 main topics including: Direction in innovation and modernization for textbook; make new textbook; build and develop texbook in digital library; texbook in standardized schools for textbook development in education after 2015.

Visitors went to and appreciated highly the exhibition of Classbook. It was said to the trend of education in the future. Released officially in June 2013, Classbook is the first digital textbook solution in Vietnam. Classbook is hoped to improve the quality of teaching in schools. Classbook for teacher will be public in late November.
