Ministry of Finance Electronic Portal Goes Live

This morning, the Ministry of Finance held a meeting to introduce the operation of its Electronic Portal. The unit responsible for designing and developing the portal software is Tinh Van Technology Joint Stock Company.
The Ministry of Finance Electronic Portal will replace the Ministry's current website at http://mof.gov.vn. Designed as a comprehensive multimedia electronic data warehouse, the portal integrates information channels, data, and applications to form the primary access point for the finance sector on the Internet, facilitating information exchange among units within the sector, as well as between the sector and citizens and businesses.
Prominent news related to key information channels and applications of the finance sector—such as Budget, Tax, Treasury, Customs, Securities, and National Reserves—is presented in a scientific and user-friendly manner on the portal's homepage. Public services, including assigning unit codes related to the budget, managing state asset registration, and receiving and publicly responding to complaints online, are provided with 840 administrative procedures of the finance sector, fully meeting all operational and management needs while significantly reducing administrative burdens.
The portal employs the most advanced technologies in interface design and backend systems. It is built on Oracle AS Portal technology, a robust platform developed by Oracle (USA), which fully meets the requirements for integrating various application systems into the Electronic Portal.
The portal is designed and built according to open technology standards, ensuring scalability, modifiability, and the ability to add components as needed. It can integrate with external databases and automatically link and update information with portals and websites of units under the Ministry of Finance based on standardized information access mechanisms.
The launch of the Electronic Portal marks a significant milestone in the application of information technology in the administrative operations of the Ministry of Finance. It will serve as the most authoritative, important, and reliable channel for providing information on the Party and State's policies, as well as the Ministry's policies on socio-economic and financial matters, to citizens, businesses, and relevant organizations via the Internet. This contributes to the effective implementation of administrative reform programs and promotes transparency and information disclosure to serve the public and business community. After a period of analysis, design, construction, and trial operation, the Ministry of Finance Electronic Portal now supports a large number of users and can easily expand its capacity to serve end users in the future.
