Launch of the Information Portal of the Ministry of Finance and the State Treasury

On November 26, 2015, the Ministry of Finance held the Launch Ceremony for the new interface of the Information Portal of the Ministry of Finance (http://mof.gov.vn) and the Information Portal of the State Treasury (http://vst.mof.gov.vn), developed by Tinh Van Technology Joint Stock Company.

Attending the ceremony were Ms. Vu Thi Mai – Member of the Party Committee, Deputy Minister of Finance, Head of the Steering Committee for the Information Portal of the Ministry of Finance; Mr. Vi Quang Dao – General Director of the Government Information Portal; Mr. Nguyen Hong Ha – General Director of the State Treasury; Mr. Nguyen Tuan Luong – Chairman of the Members' Council of Tinh Van Software Solutions & System Integration One Member Limited Liability Company (Tinhvan Solutions), along with representatives from units and departments under the Ministry of Finance.

With the goal of developing Vietnam's e-Government, the Government places great emphasis on and focuses on directing the development of Information Portals for state agencies. The Information Portal system will serve as an important bridge to form the official electronic communication portal between state agencies, and between state agencies and citizens and businesses on the internet.

The new interface is designed in a simple, reader-friendly style, enhancing the integration of modern e-public service applications, contributing to administrative procedure reform while strengthening the ability to promote and disseminate information about the Ministry of Finance on the internet. Mr. Vi Quang Dao – General Director of the Government Information Portal, stated at the ceremony: “The new interface of the Ministry of Finance's Information Portal is dignified and friendly, suitable for the characteristics of the finance sector, applying foundational technology solutions, rich in both content and form.” This event once again affirms the efforts of the finance sector in developing e-Government in Vietnam.

Ms. Vu Thi Mai – Deputy Minister of Finance, Mr. Vi Quang Dao – General Director of the Government Information Portal, and Mr. Nguyen Hong Ha – General Director of the State Treasury pressed the button to launch the new interface of the Information Portal of the Ministry of Finance and the Information Portal of the State Treasury.

The Information Portal of the Ministry of Finance has been upgraded and integrated with more e-public services. The Portal fully displays information, digital content, and electronic services of the entire finance sector, including the Finance News Section and the Section for Administrative Procedures and Public Services.

Currently, 57 administrative procedures have been developed into level-3 online public services. By the end of 2015, most of the Ministry's level-3 and above online public services will be provided on this section.

Notably, the Section for the Minister of Finance has also been established. This section provides information about Ministers of Finance throughout the periods, publicly provides information on the current Minister's administration, and addresses issues of public concern answered by the Minister...

The State Treasury Information Portal is a communication channel for domestic and foreign citizens and organizations to quickly access information about the Treasury's operations, administrative procedures related to the State Treasury's fields of activity. By 2016, the State Treasury will provide 3 level-3 online public service applications on its Information Portal and the State Treasury public service page.

Interface of the Information Portal of the Ministry of Finance

All information, data, and services in the fields of the finance sector will be continuously digitized, updated, supplemented, and improved from various sources within and outside the finance sector, to create a data repository for the finance sector, thereby sharing and disclosing information about the finance sector to the general public, businesses, and the international community.
