Tinh Van Group accompanies M.I.S Project 2017 of the National Economics University

On January 7th, Tinh Van accompanied the M.I.S Project competition organized by the National Economics University. M.I.S Project 2017 is a talent search competition for Management Information Systems initiated by the Faculty of Business Informatics at the National Economics University. With the theme: “Information systems enhancing competitiveness in enterprises,” this year's competition attracted over 50 teams from IT and Information Systems departments of universities nationwide. After more than 3 months of launching and scoring, 7 teams made it to the final night.
As a companion sponsor, Tinh Van was the only enterprise with two members on the Judging Panel, participating in the evaluation process alongside the lecturers from the preliminary round to the final round. The first judge was Mr. Nguyen Son Tung – Deputy General Director of Tinh Van Technology Joint Stock Company, who randomly evaluated 3 entries from 3 teams in the preliminary round. According to Mr. Nguyen Son Tung – a long-time expert in the IT industry – in terms of topics, the entries all found good and useful ideas, but there were also points showing inexperience and lack of practical knowledge, such as insufficient analysis of the benefits the system brings to the enterprise/manager, and the entries were not presented concisely on how the IT system would actually solve the given problem...
In the final round, Mr. Pham Thuc Truong Luong – Deputy General Director of Tinh Van Technology Joint Stock Company – was a jury member who directly scored the teams and asked questions after each team's presentation. Each team had 15 minutes to present their work and time to answer questions from the Judging Panel. Scores were based on the following criteria: Creative idea; Implementation solution; Research methodology; Presentation of the entry.
The competition results were compiled and announced immediately after:
– First Prize went to team CORE from the Faculty of Business Informatics – National Economics University, with the topic: “Developing an internal recruitment information system in Vietnamese enterprises.” – Second Prize went to: • Team DATA from the Faculty of Economic Information Systems – Thai Nguyen University of Information and Communication Technology, with the topic: “Building an enterprise resource planning system for small and medium enterprises in Vietnam.” • Team from the Faculty of Information Technology – Thuy Loi University, with the topic: “Applying artificial intelligence to predict corporate bankruptcy.” – Third Prize went to: • Team EXPLORE from the Institute of Information Technology for Economics – National Economics University. • Team UEH – BIT from the Faculty of Business Information Technology – University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City. • Team CLOUD FIVE from the Faculty of Management Information Systems – Banking Academy. • Team Justice League from the Faculty of Business Informatics – National Economics University.
The M.I.S Project 2017 talent search competition for Management Information Systems concluded successfully. The organizing committee also expressed gratitude to Tinh Van and other enterprises that accompanied the competition. Recently, Tinh Van has frequently appeared in events at universities, aiming to expand the image and brand of Tinh Van to potential young talents.
