Tinh Van Group receives Sao Khue 2021 Award for Libol Bookworm Digital Library Platform

On the morning of April 24, 2021, at the Military Music and Dance Theater (Hanoi), Tinh Van Technology Joint Stock Company was honored to receive the Sao Khue 2021 Award for the "Digital Library Platform – Libol Bookworm Digital Library". This award is presented by the Vietnam Software and IT Services Association (VINASA) to outstanding commercial software products and solutions in the field of Education and Training in Vietnam.

Libol Bookworm is a digital transformation platform for the library sector, developed based on the outstanding features of the Libol Digital library management system combined with the Bookworm electronic document circulation application. This is an interactive digital library software that connects with other libraries from all schools, businesses, organizations, etc., built and developed with the purpose of managing, providing digital documents and e-books to readers efficiently, quickly, conveniently, and easily, while still protecting and complying with digital copyright.
The integrated Libol library system allows libraries to manage, monitor, and report online borrowing and returning in real time, as well as maintain circulation policies for digital documents similar to physical documents. Meanwhile, the Bookworm application installed on personal devices allows users to log in with an account provided by the library and proactively perform reader functions such as borrowing, reading, returning, renewing, and reserving books or library documents. Readers can borrow, return, and access documents directly on the software without having to visit the library.
With modern technology and outstanding features, Libol Bookworm has pioneered digital library management, contributing to integrating Vietnamese libraries with the development trend of the global library industry: converging on digital resources.
To help students and staff of Vietnam National University, Hanoi effectively exploit a digital resource repository of 50,000 documents of high scientific value covering all fields of training and research, the Library and Information Center of Vietnam National University, Hanoi has deployed the Libol Bookworm Digital Library Platform by Tinh Van Group. This solution allows readers to access and utilize the university's internal resources conveniently anytime, anywhere, while supporting the library in packaging and managing internal digital resources, defining borrowing policies, protecting digital copyrights for documents, and sharing them with other libraries. Libol Bookworm has helped the Digital Library of Internal Documents of the Library and Information Center of VNU Hanoi rise to the top in Vietnam and rank among the global TOP 75 as assessed by Cybermetrics Labs (part of the Spanish National Research Council).

In addition to the Sao Khue Award, Libol Bookworm has won many other prestigious awards such as: Gold Cup for Information Technology (2002 – 2014), Top 5 ICT Vietnam, Ho Chi Minh City Information Technology – Communication Award (2009 – 2014), and Certificate of Merit from the Minister of Information and Communications in 2014.
