Support for the Project of the Japan Multicultural Management Academy

On March 20, 2013, at the headquarters of Tinh Van Enterprise Management Consulting Joint Stock Company (Tinhvan Consulting), a friendly meeting took place between Mr. Nguyen Huy Cuong – General Director of Tinhvan Consulting and Mr. Takashi Kawatani – Global Management Consultant – President of the Multicultural Management Academy from Japan.

It is known that Mr. Takashi has conducted many research works, typically such as Communication Strategy for Japanese Companies in Malaysia (1995); Global Assessment and Adaptability Program (GAAP); Malaysia-Japan Business Cooperation (1997); New Strategy for Approaching Eastern Society and Policy (2003); Dynamics of Global Management Connection (2004).

Currently, he is working on a research project about the business culture of Vietnam as well as countries in the Southeast Asian region to publish a book titled “Management Guide in a Diverse Asian Cultural Environment”. This project helps Japanese become leaders trusted by people from different countries, especially in the Southeast Asian region. He has visited six countries in this region: the Philippines, Indonesia, Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore, and Vietnam. This is his third visit to Vietnam after two previous trips to Ho Chi Minh City to attend training on leadership and production management for large corporations such as Fujitsu.

The meeting took place in a cheerful and friendly atmosphere. The main content was Tinhvan Consulting's sharing within the framework of Mr. Takashi's research topic. The two sides exchanged views on religious culture, business culture, and perceptions of countries in the Southeast Asian region. With experience in implementing over 50 major clients including domestic and international banks and corporations, among which many big brands from Japan such as Honda Vietnam, Acecook Vietnam, Pepsi-Suntory Vietnam…, Tinhvan Consulting wishes to contribute to Mr. Takashi's research with a perspective on human resource management in Vietnam through local specificities in customs and culture, thereby helping Japanese entrepreneurs integrate and develop their business more effectively in the potential market of 100 million people in Vietnam.

This is the premise for cooperation between Mr. Takashi, the Multicultural Management Academy, and Tinhvan Consulting, as well as an opportunity for HiStaff – the Total Human Resource Management Solution researched and developed by Tinhvan Consulting, to connect with the Japanese business management model, aiming to bring the best management value in the field of human resource optimization for Japanese enterprises operating in Vietnam.
