Tinh Van Group Attends Internet Day 2013

On December 4, 2013, Tinh Van Technology Joint Stock Company (Tinh Van Group) attended Internet Day 2013 – the second edition, themed “The Future of Vietnam’s Internet Economy”. This year’s event was organized by the Vietnam Internet Association (VIA) at the Sheraton Hanoi Hotel, under the patronage of the Ministry of Information and Communications.

Internet Day is an annual event for businesses operating in the Internet field, VIA members, and representatives of state management agencies in Vietnam’s information technology industry.
Internet Day 2013 was attended by Deputy Minister of Information and Communications Le Nam Thang, leaders and specialists from the Ministry of Information and Communications, as well as domestic and international companies such as Google, VNPT, FPT, Viettel, and VNG, who came to share and discuss Vietnam’s Internet policies with businesses.
Within the framework of the conference, many important presentations were delivered, including: An Overview of the Internet Economy in Vietnam in 2013, Policy Issues on Sustainable Internet Management and Development, etc. At the conference, Tinh Van Group had a booth showcasing its typical products, including: the shell of the Tinh Van ecosystem Xalo.vn, the mobile social game network Mobay.vn, and the electronic textbook Classbook. Notably, by displaying and demonstrating the features of the Classbook electronic textbook product, the booth made a strong impression on visitors.
Introducing the Classbook electronic textbook product to visitors
As the first electronic textbook set in Vietnam, Classbook comes pre-installed with the complete set of textbooks and supplementary books for the general education program from grades 1 to 12, ensuring compliance with the standard curriculum framework of the Ministry of Education and Training. In addition, Classbook provides a solution for managing students’ Internet access, ensuring a rich, engaging, yet healthy learning environment suitable for education. Throughout the device’s usage, users can update all reprints of these books for free. Moreover, Classbook also features hundreds of supplementary applications for various subjects in the form of learning tools and educational games, adapted to different ages and educational levels.
Going beyond the content of traditional textbooks, the Classbook electronic textbook also supports editing and integrating expanded multimedia content for lessons and provides functions that allow students to interact with lesson content.
Users can connect to the online book store and Classbook Store application
In addition to the on-device content, Classbook users can also connect to the online book store and Classbook Store application (http://classbook.vn/), which provides a digital educational library including textbooks, supplementary books, teacher’s books, reference books, soft skills books, etc.; learning applications and expanded resources for subjects such as simulation experiments, teaching materials, exam banks with solutions, test preparation materials, learning resources, etc. With an open model, content on Classbook Store will be built and shared by publishers, content providers, online education services, and most importantly, the teacher community.
In November 2013, on the occasion of Vietnamese Teachers’ Day, the Classbook version for teachers was officially released with pre-installed content to support teachers’ classroom teaching. With the teacher version, Classbook allows users to use additional reference materials, books, and lectures via memory cards to support the teaching process.
