TVG attends “ICT Meeting 2015”

On the evening of March 12, 2015, in Hanoi, Mr. Phan Quang Minh – Communications Director of Tinh Van Group represented Tinh Van Group at the ICT Spring Gathering 2015 (Year of the Goat). This is the largest annual networking and discussion event for the ICT community, organized in collaboration with 12 ICT associations, societies, and clubs.
The ICT gathering was attended by Mr. Vu Duc Dam – Deputy Prime Minister, Vice Chairman of the National Committee on IT Application; Deputy Minister of Information and Communications Nguyen Minh Hong, along with representatives from 12 ICT associations, societies, clubs, and ICT enterprises.

Speaking at the meeting, Deputy Prime Minister Vu Duc Dam highly appreciated the positive development of Vietnam's ICT community over the past year. The Deputy Prime Minister highlighted several key points, especially the decision to establish the National Committee on IT Application, chaired by the Prime Minister with the participation of many Ministers. Subsequently, through the efforts of the National Committee on IT Application and the Ministry of Information and Communications, the mechanism for IT service leasing was legalized and supported by the Prime Minister, which will promote IT application in state agencies and create a broader market for IT and software enterprises.

In his speech, Deputy Minister Nguyen Minh Hong also shared particularly important information: “On March 11, 2015, the Ministry of Information and Communications received a document from the Government Office announcing the Prime Minister's opinion requesting the Ministry of Finance to take the lead, together with the Ministry of Information and Communications and the Ministry of Planning and Investment, to propose tax policies in the IT field to promote IT application development. The Ministry of Information and Communications is discussing with ICT associations and societies to jointly consider proposing reasonable tax policies to submit to the Government or report to the National Assembly. This also demonstrates the Government and Prime Minister's attention to IT application through tax policies.” Deputy Minister Nguyen Minh Hong also highly appreciated the contributions of ICT associations and societies in providing feedback on policies and legal documents of the Ministry and Government related to the ICT sector.
