Tinh Van Group successfully holds 2011 General Meeting of Shareholders

On April 9, 2011, Tinh Van Technology Joint Stock Company (Tinh Van Group) held its 2011 Annual General Meeting of Shareholders at the Thể Thao Hotel in Hanoi.

Attending the 2011 Annual General Meeting of Shareholders were shareholders and authorized representatives, representing over 97% of voting shares, members of the Board of Directors (BOD), the Supervisory Board (SB), the Executive Board, and heads/deputy heads of functional departments of the Company.

After the opening remarks, on behalf of the BOD and the Executive Board, Mr. Hoang To – Chairman of the BOD cum General Director of Tinh Van Group reported to the General Meeting of Shareholders on the activities of the BOD and the Executive Board in 2010, as well as the 2011 plan of Tinh Van Group.

In 2010, Tinh Van Group did not complete its business plan. However, with the utmost efforts of the collective of over 400 members, Tinh Van has accumulated many values and achieved numerous accomplishments in areas such as restructuring and improving the governance system, quality management system, business development, partner relations, and brand building.

The Company officially obtained ISO-27001:2005 and CMMi-3 certifications, along with ISO-9001:2008. Currently, Tinh Van operates one of the leading quality management systems in Vietnam. It officially received the decision to allocate 1.8 hectares of land in the Hoa Lac High-Tech Park, and continued to win many IT awards from organizations and certificates of merit from the Ministry of Information and Communications, maintaining the Tinh Van brand as one of the leading IT enterprises.

Tinh Van Telecom developed dozens of sales channels with major carriers such as Mobifone, Viettel, and Vinaphone, signed an exclusive distribution contract for mobile comics with NTT Solmare of Japan; signed e-book distribution contracts with many major publishers in Vietnam; Tinh Van Solutions became a partner of AsiaInfo – one of the world's largest groups providing software solutions for the telecommunications market, and continued to be an important and reliable partner of major companies such as IBM, Oracle, Microsoft, Cisco, HP… in Vietnam.

With high consensus, the General Meeting of Shareholders voted to approve the reports and proposals of the BOD and the Executive Board, re-elected a new Supervisory Board with 3 members, and elected Mr. Ngo Phuong Chi – former Deputy General Director of Bao Viet Securities Company as an additional member of the BOD for the 2007-2012 term.
