With the mission of bridging the gap between business needs and student capabilities, FUNiX Online University officially launched on October 13, 2015. FUNiX signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Tinh Van Group and FPT Software at the launch ceremony. Accordingly, these enterprises will participate in selecting and approving learning materials, providing mentors to directly support students throughout their studies, ensuring output quality, and recruiting students.
The launch ceremony was attended by FPT Deputy CEO Nguyen The Phuong, FPT Deputy CEO Nguyen Khac Thanh, FPT University President Dam Quang Minh, Tinh Van Group CEO Hoang To, along with technology experts, students, parents, and other interested parties.
Mr. Nguyen Thanh Nam, the head of FUNiX, recognized that IT is the future. Mastering IT skills is as essential as learning a foreign language in today's era. And in the near future, learning IT will not only be for professionals but also for workers, farmers, office staff, etc., to enhance productivity.

From this perspective, FUNiX – an online IT training school under FPT Education – was born. Although the online learning model is not new, having guidance throughout the learning process is the standout feature of FUNiX. The "soul" of FUNiX is its mentors. "Mentors are paid to dedicate time and effort to support students during their learning journey," shared Mr. Nguyen Thanh Nam, Director of FUNiX.
FUNiX aims for a new training method: "You ask, Google answers," "Go anywhere, copy and write! If you don't know, ask; why be shy?" Students will use open learning materials available online from experts and top IT schools provided by FUNiX.
During the learning process, when students have questions, they contact the school to connect with the 24/7 mentor support system. Learning by asking not only helps students understand the issue but also serves as a basis for evaluating their learning outcomes. According to Mr. Nam, 80% of learning outcomes are demonstrated during the process; asking good, focused questions is also recognized.
The FUNiX launch ceremony received attention from group leaders, FPT executives, IT experts, parents, and students.
In addition to online interaction, the school will hold monthly offline themed discussions between mentors and students. Through interaction with mentors, students reduce time spent on unnecessary content and focus on job-relevant knowledge. At the same time, IT experts can identify suitable candidates for their companies. "If they study fast, after two years, students can graduate and start working as soon as they receive their first certificate," the head of FUNiX noted.
FUNiX's online program lasts 8 semesters, each 4 months, with a tuition fee of 90 million VND. Over the 8 semesters, students will sequentially acquire essential career knowledge: Digital Citizen, Mobile Application Developer, Enterprise Application Developer, IT Workplace Proficiency, Basic Software Engineer, Business Environment Proficiency, Information Systems Specialist, and Software Engineer Degree.

After each semester, students receive a certificate confirming their ability to work in that area. Upon completing the program, students become IT engineers and receive a university degree recognized by the Ministry of Education and Training.
Anyone who wants and is ready to pursue programming in particular or IT in general, and needs a certificate to start working early, can register without age or time limits. To receive a university degree, candidates must meet the entry requirements set by the Ministry of Education and Training.
Although newly launched, FUNiX has received support from group leaders, businesses, and many students and parents. Representing FPT Corporation, Deputy CEO Nguyen The Phuong stated: "FUNiX aligns with FPT's investment strategy in 2.0 and beyond. This is a project with great potential. FUNiX has every basis to become a major university in Vietnam using new IT and education technology platforms."

Recognizing the superiority of its scientific training method aligned with modern trends and needs, the Deputy CEO of Tinh Van also committed to providing internship opportunities for FUNiX students and prioritizing recruitment for qualified candidates.
